Nepal SBI Bank Net profit surged by 20.34%; NPL as low as 0.13%

Nepal SBI Bank Ltd. has published the report for the 2nd quarter for the fiscal year 2074/75. The company has earned a net profit of Rs 91.30crore, up from Rs 75.87crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year. This accounts for a growth of 20.34%.

A hefty growth is seen in both the interest income and interest expense of the company. The interest income has increased to Rs 4.24 arba, stating a growth of 73.35%. Interest expense has increased by massive 136.62% to Rs 2.36. The net interest income has increased by 29.86% to Rs 1.88 arab.

Staff expense has increased to Rs 50.66 crore, with a growth of 49.60%. 

The company operating profit, this has risen to Rs 1.44 arab with an increase of 23.27%. 

Deposit collection has surged to Rs 85.17 arba, up from 77.60 arba with a growth of 9.76%. Company's lending has increased by approx. 19.35% to Rs 71.34 arba.  

The company reserve has decreased to Rs 3.69 arab, up from Rs 3.85 arab. Networth of Rs 145.89 has been recorded. 

Positive side:    

• NPL as low as 0.13%
• An increase in Net profit by 20.49%
• Company now has an adequate capital with CAR at 15%

Negative Side:

• Fall in Earning per Share.
• Hefty rise in interest expense.
• A minor decline in Reserve.
