Standard Chartered Bank net profit soars to Rs 1.01 arba; EPS shrinks to Rs 25.30
Standard Chartered Bank Nepal Ltd. has published the report for the 2nd quarter for the fiscal year 2074/75. The company has earned a net profit of Rs 1.01 arab, up from Rs 74.01 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year. This accounts for a growth of 36.92%.
A soaring growth is seen in both the interest income and interest expense of the company. The interest income has increased to Rs 2.15 arba, stating a growth of 64.02 %. Interest expense has increased by massive 161.08% to Rs 68.17 crore. The net interest income has increased by 39.82 % to Rs 1.45 arab.
Staff expense has increased to Rs 30.22crore, with a growth of 18.29 %.
The company operating profit has risen to Rs 1.55 arab with an increment of 38.67 %.
Deposit collection has surged to Rs 66.07 arab, up from 61. 99 arba with a growth of 6.59%. Company's lending has increased by 20.65% to Rs 42.36 arba.
The company reserve has increased to Rs 4.86 arab, up from Rs 4.51 arab. Networth of Rs 160.74 has been recorded.
The company has met the capital requirement of 8 arab, with its capital of 8.01 arba.
